Surah Ad Duha (Soft part of the day—Morning) was revealed to comfort the Prophet (PBUH); who became worried and sad for non-believers started taunting him, due to a short pause in revelation. Allah, as a special gesture of mercy to His most favored servant (Prophet Muhammad-PBUH) and a rebuke to his enemies, swore by the soft part of the day—Morning while comforting.
Another version is that Prophet (PBUH) forgot to say “In Sha’a Allah” when advising some Jews, who came to him with questions, to come back, pending revelation about the matter. This delayed the revelation more than usual which made the Prophet worried. Allah however, comforted him and advised him not to miss saying “In Sha’a Allah”.

What We’ve learned from Surat Al Duha?
- Allah (swt) swears in his own creation, but as human, we shall only swear to Allah (swt).
- The 2 oath sworn are the light (the beginning hours of morning) and night (when sunset takes place), its like Allah (swt) telling us if we swear the light, then the night will replace it, but Allah is always there.
- Allah (swt) reminding his Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) about his provision on him, such us when he was an orphan etc .. .
- Allah (swt) ends the Sura with commands to his Prophet PBUH. These commands are the way we shall thank Allah on his provisions on us
- The Sura shows us the right way of making Shuker or (Thanking Allah). The Thanking in Islam is an action that is the same category of provision.
