Three men from Quraish and Thaqif met in a setting place. The were talking in a room and asking each other curiously.
One of them said to the others: “Do think that Allah hears us as we are talking here?”. A man of the three answered: “He hears some and some he doesn’t hear!”.
The third person said: “if we raise our voices he would hear us, and if we lower our voices he won’t hear us!”.
Then Allah (swt) revealed the following Aya:
(22) And you were not covering yourselves, lest your hearing testify against you or your sight or your skins, but you assumed that Allah does not know much of what you do.
