Revelation Of Surat Al Kawther

August 31, 2018 by admin

https://masjidisa.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/Surat-Alkawther.mp3

The reason for the revelation Surat Al-Kawthar, as seen by Abdullah bin Abbas – the most correct novel:

It was said that it was reveled in Al-Aas ibn Wael,  that he saw the Messenger of Allah – peace be upon him come out of the Masjid when he was entering, so they met at the door, so they spoke while some of Quraish big heads were setting inside the Masjid.

When Al-As Ibn Wael entered the Masjid, Quraish people asked him: “To whom you were talking to?” Then he said: “To that cut off”, he meant the Prophet PBUH. At that time, the Prophet’s son was recently passed away, and Quraish used to call the man with no sons as “Cut Off”. Then Allah SWT reveled Surat Al Kawther:

(1) Indeed, We have granted you, [O Muhammad], al-Kawthar.
(2) So pray to your Lord and sacrifice [to Him alone].
(3) Indeed, your enemy is the one cut off.

The explanation of Sura shows us a high level of greatness from Allah SWT to his Prophet. Shows Allah love for his messenger by rewarding him the River Of Kawther. On the other hand, Allah responds to those who attack the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) with rudeness and blasphemy.

The Sura ends with “إِنَّ شَانِئَكَ هُوَ الْأَبْتَرُ” which interpreted as your enemy is the one who is cut off of goodness in this life and hereafter.

Allah is defending those who believe, for whatever the unbelievers do, the circle of evil will revolve on them alone. And all their evil planning and lie in wait for people of truth are in vain.

The Houses Of Ansar Are Away From The Masjid

August 31, 2018 by admin

https://masjidisa.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/surat-yaseen-aya-12.mp3

The houses of Ansar were far from the mosque, so they wanted to move near to the mosque inside the Madina. Then the Prophet Mohammed PBUH said to them to keep their houses and Allah will reward their steps to the Masjid. They kept their houses.

(12) Indeed, it is We who bring the dead to life and record what they have put forth and what they left behind, and all things We have enumerated in a clear register.

Hadith

وروى الترمذي عن أبي سعيد الخدري أن القوم كانوا بني سلمة ، وأن الآية نزلت فيهم . وفي الصحيح { أن بني سلمة أرادوا أن ينتقلوا قريبا من المسجد ، فقال لهم النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم : يا بني سلمة ; دياركم تكتب آثاركم ; يعني الزموا دياركم تكتب لكم آثاركم }

The prayer of the man in the congregation is better than praying alone at home by 27 times.

{ صلاة الرجل في الجماعة تزيد على صلاته في بيته وفي سوقه سبعا وعشرين ضعفا ; وذلك أنه إذا توضأ فأحسن الوضوء ، ثم [ ص: 17 ] خرج إلى المسجد لا يخرجه إلا الصلاة لم يخط خطوة إلا رفعه الله بها درجة ، وحط بها عنه خطيئة ، فإذا صلى لم تزل الملائكة تصلي عليه ما دام في مصلاه الذي صلى فيه : اللهم صل عليه ، اللهم ارحمه ، ولا يزال أحدكم في صلاة ما انتظر الصلاة }

Mentioning Of Males and Females In Quran

August 31, 2018 by admin

https://masjidisa.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/Surat-Al-Ahzab-35.mp3

The Muslim women in Madina were reading Quran just like other men. They had feelings in their hearts, becuase most of the Ayat in Quran are mention the males, and many of the rewards in Quran are mentioned in the masculine form. Most of the Ayat in Quran are in the masculine form.

According to a group of commentators in the reason for the revelation of this Aya that when “Asma bint Amis” the wife of “Ja’far ibn Abi Talib” returned from Abyssinia with her husband, came to the wives of the Prophet, and asked them: “Is there something for us (women) in the Quran?” They said no. Then she came to the Messenger of Allah PBUH and said: “That women are in disappointment and loss”.

He said: What is that? She said: “They are not mentioned in goodness as the men in Quran”

Then Allah SWT reveled this Aya from Surat Al Ahzab:

(35) Indeed, the Muslim men and Muslim women, the believing men and believing women, the obedient men and obedient women, the truthful men and truthful women, the patient men and patient women, the humble men and humble women, the charitable men and charitable women, the fasting men and fasting women, the men who guard their private parts and the women who do so, and the men who remember Allah often and the women who do so – for them Allah has prepared forgiveness and a great reward.

What we hav’e learned from this?

  • In the Arabic Language, when men and women are gathered together, then the speech becomes in the masculine form
  • The Holy Quran cares about the feelings of people. When these women were questioning about this matter, Allah reveled this Aya that made the women feel happy.
  • Allah SWT explained in details in this Aya about the deeds of those men and women, such as those who make charity and perform fasting.
  • This Aya tells us that the rewards mentioned in Quran for the good deeds are for both men and women.

The Reason For The Revelation of Surat Al Nasr

August 31, 2018 by admin

https://masjidisa.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/Surat-Alnasr.mp3

There is a reference in Surat Al Nasr to the religion of the infidels,  that it will disappear and will be dissolved. Surah Al-Nasr included the gospel of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) with the opening of Makkah, his victory over the infidels, the spread of Islam, and the completion of the message.

Also Surat Al-Nasr told the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that he was nearing his time, and that he should praise and seek forgiveness from Allah SWT.

Reason for The Revelation of Surat Al Nasr

As for the reason for the revelation of Surat Al-Nasr, it is to tell the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that he nearing his time and the mark on that is the opening of Makkah. The evidence for this is narrated by Imam al-Bukhaari in his Saheeh, from Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them, said:

(1) When the victory of Allah has come and the conquest,
(2) And you see the people entering into the religion of Allah in multitudes,
(3) Then exalt [Him] with praise of your Lord and ask forgiveness of Him. Indeed, He is ever Accepting of repentance.

When Surat Al Nasr Were Reveled?

Scholars have 2 different narrations on this:

  • First: The revelation of the Sura was after the opening of  Makkah and the Prophet lived 70 days after the the revelation date of Surat Al Nasr. The prophet passed away on the 1oth year of migration (Hijra Calendar), that’s why the Sura is known also as “Surat Altawdee’a” which means the Sura of farewell.
  • Second: Says that the Sura was reveled before the opening of Makkah and the Prophet Mohammed PBUH promised about the victory and opening of Makkah.

Surat Al Nasr indicated the following provisions:

  • The Muslim should thank God and praise him and praise him for what he is entitled to, as he have blessed him greatly, one of the greatest blessings that Allah has on his prophet and upon the believers  is opening Mecca, and achieving victory over the enemies.
  • Allah SWT ended Surat Al Nasr with commanding his Prophet PBUH to increase of the prayers and seeking forgiveness from Allah SWT and praise him for he have giving them (the victory and opening of Makkah).
  • The religion of Allah Almighty is Islam and that for the Almighty said: (إِنَّ الدِّينَ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ الْإِسْلامُ) “The religion with Allah is Islam”. Surat Al Imran – Aya 19
  • The command of Allah in the Sura started with “tasbeeh”, praising, then seeking forgiveness from him. We have to be busy with our creator doing tasbeeh and praising for him before being busy with ourself by seeking forgiveness.
  • The Companions, may God bless them and grant them peace, agreed that Surat Al Nasr indicated the obituary of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

The Reason Behind The Revelation Of Surat Al Masad

August 31, 2018 by admin

https://masjidisa.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/surat-almasad.mp3

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was subjected to abuse by his people in order to return from his call to Islam. These attempts increased him steadfastness, did not underestimate his ambitions, and remained patient in anticipation. Because he knows with certainty that a day will come when religion will be high and the word of God will rise.

The angels came to the Prophet repeatedly, asking him to choose if he wants them to destroy the infidels by applying the 2 mountains in Makkah on them, and he replied in the tongue of the tolerant Prophet, PBUH: May Allah make from their descendants people who worship him (Allah) and not to associate anyone with him. Indeed, this when many of the best Muslims came out of these Quarries Infidels families.

The Abuse of infidels to the Prophet peace be upon him

Abu Lahab (The father of flame) was one of those who participated in harming the Prophet peace be upon him and other Muslims. Abu Lahab is the uncle of the Prophet who was one of the most infidels on the Islamic call at that time.

Abu Lahab’s wife, Umm Jameel, was named Arwa bint Harb bin Umayya who was known for insulting the Prophet and Muslims. She even came out a day wanted to hurt the Prophet PBUH with  knife, then she found  Abu Bakr and asked him: Where is your companion who was said to be insulting (satirizing )me. She was referring to the Surat Al Masad that Allah mentioned Abu Lahab and his wife. God Almighty wanted to blind her vision of the Holy Prophet did not see him and went on her way.

The wife of Abu Lahab incited her two sons to a threshold and a pious on the parting of the Prophet’s daughters when the verses of Surat Al-Misd were revealed.

Her son Otabia insulted the Prophet Mohammed PBUH and made him hear what is no appropriate, then the Prophet PBUH made a dua’a on her son and said: “اللّهم سلّط عليه كلبًا من كلابك” “O Allah cast him with a dog of your dogs”. He went with his father to the Levant, then a lion attacked him when he was sleeping at night. This is response from Allah SWT to the dua’a of the Holy Prophet PBUH.

The Reason For The Revelation of Surat Al Masad

In one the days of the Islamic call, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) went out and went up to Safa to reach his people and his closest family. The Prophet had called in Quraysh until he met him.  Most of  Quraish big heads came to meet in response to his call, and those who couldn’t come, send representatives for them instead.

And when the crowd gathered in front of the Messenger of Allah spoke to them saying: “O people of Quraish, you see if I told you that there is an enemy will attack you daylight or at night, do you believe me?” , they said: yes, and you are not a lier. The Prophet PBUH said: “I am a warner for you in my hands a great torment”. Then  Abu Lahab said, “Damn you all the day, that is why we have gathered”.

Then Allah SWT reveled Surat Al Masad in him and his wife:

  • (1) May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he.
  • (2) His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained.
  • (3) He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame
  • (4) And his wife [as well] – the carrier of firewood.
  • (5) Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber.
